From January 2021 the Studio will be offering an online mentoring service as part of our practice.

During the past years many more people have found themselves working online & from home. I would like to offer the possibility for people to reach out to the Studio for personalised teaching, mentoring & advice.

One of my passions is passing on my 15+ years of knowledge across many varied disciplines & skillsets, including:

  • Design

  • Interiors / Architectural Installations

  • Bioengineering

  • Materials Innovation

  • Traditional Craft

  • Robotics

  • Advanced Digital Fabrication

  • Organising collaborations, partnerships, grant application and connections within business and across the arts and cultural sectors.

I frequently share this knowledge within formal and informal educational contexts, lectures, workshops & conferences.

I’d like to make these expertise available to anyone it might support.

The Studio has grown over the past decade & is now recognised internationally. Our work has been shown at leading industry conferences, galleries such as Tate, V&A, London Design Festival & MoMA. We have published in design & scientific journals including Domus, Nature Nanotechnology & Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS).

I am happy to offer this personalised mentoring & consultancy service on a sliding scale, depending on your requirements or situation.

Feel free to be touch & we can have a chat.

Prices - £75 / hour on a sliding scale to be discussed.

Testimonials:

‘I contacted Tom to help bring a bit of shape to my unfolding creative practice with ceramics. I admired his work & his ethos and thought I would give it a try.

The sessions I had with Tom far, far exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend working with him if you want a reflective and supportive space to explore your ideas & your next steps in your practice. I gained valuable clarity and focus as well as new perspectives on my work as well as the research I can undertake to support my work. Tom, whilst kind and patient, will also challenge you in the interest in your growth.

If you are stuck, if you are spread too thin, if you are preparing a portfolio or application, if you are looking for the next level of your work, if you want a sharp eye responding to your work - these mentoring sessions can help.’ - Meredith Gunderson
